No Excel. No macros. Run the tournament offline.
For tournament hosts, league organizers and recurring clubs who want fair seating, scores and standings in a browser-based tool — no Excel, macros, cloud account or subscription.

One dropout can unravel an afternoon.
Check-in, seating, rotations and score capture all have to hold in real time. A spreadsheet that wasn't built for it turns one dropout or one disputed score into a long pause with a room full of people waiting.
Before the round
Seating generated for the field you actually have, with a fairness audit that reports repeat pairings instead of hiding them.
Mid-event
A dropout is rescued without rewriting rounds that are already complete.
End of round
Scores entered once, standings update live, route cards and a printable companion keep the room moving.

Built to run live, in the browser
Round-robin seating, 4-100 players
Seating for 4 to 100 players across 1 to 12 rounds. For some player-and-round combinations zero repeats are mathematically impossible, so the audit reports the repeats it could not avoid and the measured floor for your field.
Byes, 3-player tables, dropouts
Balanced byes and 3-player tables when the field doesn't divide by four. Dropout rescue keeps completed rounds and re-seats only the rounds still to come. You can also audit an existing rotation read-only.
Score entry and live standings
Enter point totals, standings update as you go. Prints a master schedule, score and audit layouts, player route cards four to a page, and a 9-page fillable companion in A4 and US Letter.
Runs anywhere, offline
Open it in a current browser on Mac, Windows, ChromeOS, iPad or Android. No cloud account, no subscription — you enter the scores yourself.
For multi-round play, on a laptop, offline
Tournament hosts, league organizers and recurring club organizers who need seating, byes, route cards and standings in one place — without bending a spreadsheet that was built for something else.
Not a rules engine — it doesn't score hands or enforce Mahjong rules. You enter the scores; it handles seating, rotation and standings.
Not automatic hand scoring, not cloud sync, and not built for a two-player game.
If you specifically want a 17-tab Excel workbook with a rotation planner, that's the American Mahjong Tournament Kit ($29 regular price) instead — a separate, Excel-based product.
Frequently asked questions
How do I run it after I buy?
Download and unzip the files through Etsy, then open Mahjong_Tournament_Flow.html in your browser. No cloud account or subscription is required.
What happens if a player drops out mid-event?
Tournament Flow includes dropout rescue that doesn't require rewriting rounds that are already complete.
Does it score hands or enforce the rules?
No — it's not a rules engine or automatic hand scorer. You enter the scores; Tournament Flow handles seating, rotation, standings and route cards.
How is this different from the Tournament Kit?
Two separate products. The American Mahjong Tournament Kit ($29 regular price) is an Excel toolkit: a 17-tab workbook with an automatic leaderboard, a rotation planner for 4-32 players, and editable event materials. Tournament Flow ($39.95 regular price) is a single browser app with no Excel, macros or cloud account, built around live seating, the fairness audit and dropout handling for 4-100 players. Choose by field size and by whether you want to work in a spreadsheet or an app.
Which version is this, and are updates included?
This is version 1.0. Future updates are not promised as part of the purchase, and the files keep working offline regardless.
Can I use this for a paid-entry tournament?
Yes — the single-buyer event license covers your own events, including paid-entry events, on your own devices. Resale, sharing or redistribution of the files is not included.
